Today, many frankincense enthusiasts recognize many of these benefits through the boswellic acids within the resin of the frankincense tree family. Unfortunately, most distillers have produced a plethora of essential oil from these resins, not realizing that these acids have a molecular weight that prevents them from being distilled into the essential oil.
